EAR WAVE EVENT wants your music!

None of the music on this website exists. But don't you wish it did? The reviews that make up this preview of EAR WAVE EVENT were created by a neural network fed and trained on contemporary music press. Inverting the normal flow of music criticism, we invite artists to use these reviews prescriptively - to create realizations of musics 'imagined' by a prosthetic mind.

Please send submissions by January 22nd, 2020.

After February 3rd, 2020, EAR WAVE EVENT Issue 5, a complete 'music magazine,' will be released with YOUR audio.

The Story Of Us

This London based quintet built their debut album “The Story Of Us” around 'real stories from real lives' said their label. I’ll let the liner notes speak for themselves: “We’re on our first date, we’re having a drink together, we’re making out, we’re fucking…”. They’re a bit more emotive on “Locker Room”, where the narrator describes the event as a freak show in which the singer has 'slapped himself in the face.' But the album’s focus is on the relationship between performer and listener, with the singer sharing intimate details about his or her life. The narrator, a straight man, talks about dating his ex-girlfriends while apparently searching for love.
