EAR WAVE EVENT wants your music!

None of the music on this website exists. But don't you wish it did? The reviews that make up this preview of EAR WAVE EVENT were created by a neural network fed and trained on contemporary music press. Inverting the normal flow of music criticism, we invite artists to use these reviews prescriptively - to create realizations of musics 'imagined' by a prosthetic mind.

Please send submissions by January 22nd, 2020.

After February 3rd, 2020, EAR WAVE EVENT Issue 5, a complete 'music magazine,' will be released with YOUR audio.

Simply hit the submit button on any given review to add your music.

Experiment Station
Experiment Station

If the name 'Experiment Station' conjures images of dark industrial machinery, don’t be alarmed – it is not a metaphor. Theses four musicians from the Netherlands have been exploring the potential of the large sound system at Rastenburg Arts Centre for some time. According to the website, two of the four players are students at the Ritz-Carlton and the others are members of the experimental metal group Lead Zeppelin. All four compositions are based on the works of Robert Frank or Robert Frank’s 'experimental metal'. It is not clear which is which, but the music is quite headnodding. Some of the sounds are like an electric storm with sonic damage; others have an almost circus like character.
