EAR WAVE EVENT wants your music!

None of the music on this website exists. But don't you wish it did? The reviews that make up this preview of EAR WAVE EVENT were created by a neural network fed and trained on contemporary music press. Inverting the normal flow of music criticism, we invite artists to use these reviews prescriptively - to create realizations of musics 'imagined' by a prosthetic mind.

Please send submissions by January 22nd, 2020.

After February 3rd, 2020, EAR WAVE EVENT Issue 5, a complete 'music magazine,' will be released with YOUR audio.

Paul Rodriguez
I Could Be A Dog In The Bar

Portuguese guitarist Paul Rodriguez’s debut album is brutal and sullen, a mordant revelations of the cruel side of life in a racist city where the police are literally on horseback to keep order. Rodriguez is a street artist, a punter, a street fighter and a poet. His playing is as party-hearty as it is furious. The opening “Thou Shalt Not Fuck (Fucking Shit Up)” is a straight shot: 'You can only act like you care about your fans/If you don’t care about your fans, how about your fans?”. “Horse (Fucking Shit Up)” grabs you by the scruff of the neck and hustles you away, “Shit Stain” demanding a rebuttal from the audience. “Tungsten (Fucking Shit Up)” is more pointed: “You are on your ass”.
