EAR WAVE EVENT wants your music!

None of the music on this website exists. But don't you wish it did? The reviews that make up this preview of EAR WAVE EVENT were created by a neural network fed and trained on contemporary music press. Inverting the normal flow of music criticism, we invite artists to use these reviews prescriptively - to create realizations of musics 'imagined' by a prosthetic mind.

Please send submissions by January 22nd, 2020.

After February 3rd, 2020, EAR WAVE EVENT Issue 5, a complete 'music magazine,' will be released with YOUR audio.

Simply hit the submit button on any given review to add your music.

Nuraghe Annihilator & The Maelstrom International
Goodie Two Sounds

This pairing of Nuraghe Annihilator and the Maelstrom International is as advertised. Annihilator is a sonic adventurer who has taken a brief detourn to excavate a sonic nugget buried deep in the bowels of a Bristol pub. Goodie Two Sounds is a mere 45 minute pop-up shop-cum-concert featuring a recording of The Violator doing the very thing they describe as “preparing the way for the future”. Annihilator is a bit like Radio 4’s Earth based answer to The Maelstrom – analogue, synthetic, apocalyptic – in that respect, they mirror the vibe, its atmosphere, its spirit. On “Prepare For Density”, a floating synth glows in the distance and a voice bubbles from the surface, explaining that if she’s listened to “all the music in the world,” she’s “wouldn’t know what to do about the noise”.
