EAR WAVE EVENT wants your music!

None of the music on this website exists. But don't you wish it did? The reviews that make up this preview of EAR WAVE EVENT were created by a neural network fed and trained on contemporary music press. Inverting the normal flow of music criticism, we invite artists to use these reviews prescriptively - to create realizations of musics 'imagined' by a prosthetic mind.

Please send submissions by January 22nd, 2020.

After February 3rd, 2020, EAR WAVE EVENT Issue 5, a complete 'music magazine,' will be released with YOUR audio.

Simply hit the submit button on any given review to add your music.

The Dutchman
The Awakening Dream

The Dutchman is a visionary whose dream was to revive the dead through new age music. He made his name creating experimental instruments for orchestra and playing instruments for theater, radio, film and the video game arena. The device he uses most prominently is the birthing bass, which he can be heard playing in the video for “Birth Ritual”. The birthing bass is a two note bass with a high and slow sounding tone, like a hi-hat on one end, then a resonant bow on the other. The video shows them in action for a full hour, until the bassist takes a turn for the surreal, jumping from one glitchy percussive shriek to the next.
