The euphoric rush of electric guitar playing on this album is only half of the story. The real achievement lies in the syncretic head trip created by vocalist/ synthesizer player Danielle Dufour’s utterances and delivered live to an audience of like minds. Amid the slurred, distorted and off-key guitar work, she raps and sings like Michelle Obama circa 2016, and plays like she could be Oprah Winfrey if she had one. The set concludes with a performance by vocalist Luciano Edinho, who hammers out a raspy blues lament for her performance to close.
