This collaboration between Noyes (aka Gokula) and musician Gauti (aka Noyes) is a clumsy attempt at what might be a jazz fusion, given the tempo and genre split. Noyes plays all notes except G, A, E, and D, and Gauti plays all notes except B and E. The results are not that surprising. After all, Noyes is a pianist first and foremost, and the best way to play A is with fingers or a stick, not a piano. The sticks are much more muted than pianist Gauti’s, leading to a much more focused sound.
