Solo project by New Zealand’s Barry Lyndon, who has previously released under the name Tabansi. This time out, Lyndon focuses on brass instruments and woodwind, and uses the instrument’s rounded brass instruments to create an alternate soundtrack to video game music. "The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner" is a video game soundtrack for the spaceship game Asteroids, created using samples of the game engine and a handful of orchestral loops made from the game. It’s a nostalgic trip through the old school visuals of space battles and battle music, and the odd nostalgic echo of 1980s NES soundtracks.
