Named in his honour, the Drew MacDowell/Roger Robinson Orchestra is a delicate and robust collection of contemporary chamber and jazz musicians dedicated to celebrating and responding to the enigma of twentieth century American minimalism. The ensemble consists of ten original members and two alternates, while a further two guests join them via e-mail. These ten tracks are constructed from performances by the ten musicians, while the original compositions are being continually unfurled.
